When you follow a butterfly, it keeps flying forward – well with a bit of up and down, and left and right fluttery stuff going on – but basically forward!
That’s just how life works. Whether you’re stood still, stuck in a rut, or heading towards a new goal (a new destination) time still marches on and moves forward.
This being true, why is it that some people wait to start something when time is so limited? Why would they choose to stay stuck in the past?
And when it comes to public speaking, one of the most popular excuses is definitely – ‘I don’t have the time’ or ‘I want to do it, but….’
When You Succeed
Going back to the butterfly – when everything keeps moving forward, how do you keep up with the times?
I believe that when you feel stuck, or have just finished a recent goal, the Universe sends you a message, and guides you towards the next step. What do I mean by this?
Maybe you’ve discovered your purpose recently, but you’re not sure what to do next (if so, read last week’s blog here!). Perhaps you’ve completed that goal you promised you would – you wrote that book, lost some weight, started a new business.
But sometimes when you make goals, you don’t always have another goal ahead in mind, if that makes sense.
What Comes Next?
When I found my purpose, my WHY, I knew I wanted to help people. But I had to figure out how, how could I help people both personally and also many people at the same time.
So, I began my public speaking journey, and became a public speaker coach – to share my message, go back to my roots where my journey began (Andy Harrington’s speech) and help even more people share their messages.
Many clients have said that I came to them at the right time – that it felt like the Universe was guiding them too.
Will You Choose to Ignore the Universe?
When you reach a crossroads, you have to be open to guidance. Even if it feels like you’ve only just completed a goal, and you don’t feel ready yet, moments of realisation can come at the most unexpected of times.
If you ignore what’s around you, you won’t see the new opportunities the universe is sending you. But if you stay aware, openminded, and keep your options open, you might just find what it is that you never even knew you were looking for.
